Ryan and I celebrated our big day six years ago on Friday, July 31, 2015. To this day, it's still one of the best days of my life. I remember putting on my wedding dress and taking a deep breath and just thinking...wow, this is it, I'm getting married to my best friend. Everything just felt right and perfect. I was and still am so happy to have my best friend and soulmate as my forever partner.
Six years since our I do's and I love him more everyday
If you know Ryan and I, we are very much alike, but also very very different. We have our disagreements and bicker from time to time, but who doesn't right? It keeps our relationship interesting - ha! I remember our preacher telling us during marriage counseling and also on our wedding day as we were standing in front of our family and closest friends that marriage is not always glamorous and will be terrifying and will take a lot of work. One, two, three...six years later and boy was he right. Our marriage is not perfect, far from it actually. But the beauty of it, however, is that no matter how angry we are at each other or how hard the days get, we are always there for each other. We forgive and we love (hard) and forgive and love a million times over. We have built this amazing life together and have two of the best boys to share it with. It's beautiful, crazy and messy all at the same time and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am thankful that God has been filling us with his grace and leading us through our seasons of both joy and sorrow these last six years and I look forward to our journey ahead.
